Geldernick, Peggy L. (Marriage - 28 August 1971)

Miss Peggy L. Geldernick and Gerald E. Marg, Jr., exchanged wedding vows Saturday, August 28, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated at the double-ring ceremony solemnized before 250 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Geldernick, Chili, are the parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald E. Marg, Sr., of Granton.

Mrs. Jean Baker was the organist and Karin Hanson, the soloist.

For her marriage, the bride chose an empire-waist gown styled with long, full sleeves gathered into lace cuffs and a lace-edged, scoop neckline, complimented by a lace-edged mantilla veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations as she was given in marriage by her father.

Miss Debra Dankemyer, Chili, was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Cindy Dankemyer and Fay Ann Geldernick, both of Chili. The bridal attendants wore empire-styled aqua pant-gowns and bead-trimmed, velvet bow headpieces. They carried bouquets of yellow and white gardenias.

Dale Braatz, Wausau, served as bestman. Groomsmen wed Richard Geldernick and Robert L. Martin, both of Chili. David Geldernick, Chili, and Gerald Paulson, Granton, acted as ushers.

A wedding reception was held in the church parlors.

The new Mrs. Marg, a 1970 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, is employed in Marshfield. Her husband, who graduated in 1967 from Granton High School, attended Stevens Point State University and is employed in Lindsey.
