Mrs. Emil Schwarze called on relatives and friends here Sunday.

Miss eleanor Krieg of Marshfield spent the weekend at the Merrill Hare home.

Mr. and Mrs. James LaDue and son of Milwaukee visited his grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Reinhart, last week.

Mrs. Alma Mason returned on Tuesday of last week from a two month visit at Blanchardville, Knoinoster, Mo., Milwaukee and Madison.

Mrs. Caroline Seidl of Marshfield, who is District Deputy of the Royal Neighbor Lodge, spent Monday in Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Bergeman and family spent Sunday at the Leland Staab home at Berlin, Wis. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Staab of Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Baird and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Steiger and daughter spent Sunday at the Richard Engle home at Eau Claire.

Sunday guests at the Merrill Hare home were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Blum, Mr. and Mrs. jack Blum and Mrs. Rauch of Marshfield.

Mrs. Louis Behrens and children and Mrs. Melva Afkend spent Sunday evening at the Clayton Afkend home at Abbotsford.

Edward (Pete) Buker, Richard (Dick) Larson and Jack Rondorf left Monday for their physical at Minneapolis to join the Navy. They passed and from word received here, are on their way to California for training.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Matke, Fort Atkinson, spent Saturday and Sunday at the Einfeldt home. Other Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck and family and Bruce Busch.

Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Seliskar and family attended a reunion of the Pahl family in Marshfield last Saturday. The occasion celebrated was the 82nd birthday of Mrs. Seliskar's father, Mrs. Wm. Pahl of Merrill.

Mrs. John Gatz and daughter Suzie spent Friday evening at the John Kaltinger home.

Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stewart spent Sunday at the Everett Humke home at La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson and Carol visited Saturday evening at the Garth Luchterhand home at Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Bud Albrecht of Arpin visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Christ Keiner. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson and Carol.

Mr. and Mrs. Verne V. Varney of Madison called at the Einfeldt home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger were business callers at Winnebago, Ill. and Belvidere, Ill. on Friday and satu, Oct. 24 and 25.

Mr. and Mrs. James Neuenfeldt and daughters of Medford spent Saturday night and Sunday at the Wm. Neuenfeldt home.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst and daughter Corrine spent from Wednesday until Monday visiting relatives in Milwaukee and Sheboygan.

Recent visitors at the Hubert Horn home were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baehr, Mrs. Ray Missling and daughter, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldeschwiler and family, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Elias Ott, Stanley; Ervin Horn and Corrine, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kuester and Gladys, Mr. and Mrs. John Seibold, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Metcalf, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Mr. and Mrs. George Speich visited a week ago Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Beyer at Unity.

Mr. and Mrs. Tobert Jackson of Milwaukee visited Sunday at the Earl Sloniker home.

Mr. and Mrs. Aries Offord and family of Withee visited Sunday at the Bruce Thiel home.

Edward Stangret has resigned his position at the Greenwood Co-op Feed Mill and has accepted a position at Stanley.

Miss Diane Giswold of Madison, and Miss Kay Overman of Neillsville called on friends here Sunday.

Mrs. Carl Nelson suffered a heart attack at her home Sunday evening.

Mrs. Victor Krokson, who underwent an operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, returned home Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider and family visited at the Emil Buss home at Curtiss Sunday.

Mrs. Robert Carl called to Darlington last week by the serious illness of her father, who passed away later.

Robert Vesel, who has been with the Army in Germany, arrived home on Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ellingson and son David, who have been staying at the E.S. Ellingson home, returned to their home at Mauston Sunday.

Mrs. E.S. Ellingson and son Romaine, who spent the past four weeks at the eRling Ellingson home in Champaign, Ill., returned home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Erling Ellingson, Karyn, Mark and Karyl Ann, brought them up and visited here until Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux, Kathryn and Janet, attended the funeral of their brother-in-law, Max Schiedemeyer, at Appleton on Monday of last week.

Mrs. Lloyd Longridge will entertain the West Side Homemakers Club at her home Friday afternoon, Nov. 7th.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Klune and son Raymond and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Thiel attended the wedding of Rudy Horvat and Lavonne Henninger at Granton on Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sowieja and children of Milwaukee spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Vesel and other relatives.

Mrs. Christ Keiner received word Monday that her oldest brother, Gottfried Romang Sr., 77, Athens, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Wausau on Sunday evening, Nov. 2, 1952. Mr. Romang has been ill for three weeks, but was taken to the hospital that day. Funeral services were held at Athens Wednesday afternoon.

Allen Schneider, who attended school in Wausau, spent the weekend here with hsi parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider.
