Eastern Star Install Heads; Enjoy Christmas Party

Installation of officers of the Abbotsford chapter of the Order of Easter Star, held Tuesday evening at the Masonic hall, was preceded by a short program.

The retiring worthy matron, Mrs. Alfred Scheel, presented each one of her officers with a gift. They in turn, had prepared a skit on the theme of “Home on the Range,” which opened with singing a parody and each one presented Mrs. Scheel with a kitchen gift and appropriate verse which they then placed on a small toy range.

The elected and appointed officers were then installed by Sherman Loos, installing officer; Mrs. Ina Hennlich, installing marshal; Mrs. Mildred Dorn, installing chaplain; Mrs. Mame Emling, installing organist.

The new heads are: Mrs. Daisy Kumbier, worthy matron; Sheman Loos, worthy patron; Mrs. Frances Neitzel, associate matron; Frank Goeltz, associate patron; Mrs. Emma Treat, secretary; Mrs. DeEtta Hoffman, treasurer; Miss Althea Rilling, conductress; Mrs. Ethel Reichersamer, associate conductress; Mrs. Christine Mathias, trustee for three years; Mrs. Verna Riplinger, chaplain; Mrs. Edith Neitzel, organist; Mrs. Bertha Jackson, Adah; Mrs. Minnie Payne, Ruth; Mrs. Hortense Braehm, Esther; Mrs. Pauline Zillmer, Martha; Mrs. Gladys Loos, Electa; Mrs. Mae Rilling, warder; and Vane Gokey, sentinel.
