Ogorzalek, John Victor (18 JUL 1921 - 23 DEC 2013)

John Victor Ogorzalek, 92, Lublin, died on Monday, Dec. 23 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 28 at Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp, with Rev. Marion Talaga officiating.

Burial was at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Lublin. Pallbearers were Roger Ogorzalek, Russell Ogorzalek, David Ogorzalek, Craig Ogorzalek, Ryan Ogozalek and John Irving.

John V. Ogorzalek, age 92, of Lublin, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:00pm at Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp. Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Lublin. Pallbearers will be: Roger Ogorzalek, Russell Ogorzalek, David Ogorzalek, Craig Ogorzalek, Ryan Ogozalek, and John Irving. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Thorp Funeral Home.

John Victor Ogorzalek was born on July 18, 1921 in the Town of Roosevelt, rural Lublin, to Joseph and Katherine (Gawron) Ogorzalek. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at area schools.

He was united in marriage to Ellen I. Taylor on April 26, 1949 in Thorp, WI. They farmed in rural Lublin for 30-plus years, until retiring in 1980 and building their home in the Town of Ford, where John resided until his death.

In his spare time, John loved to hunt and fish, but he especially enjoyed working in the woods with his Farmall "H" tractor.

John is survived by 4 children: Roger Ogorzalek of Lublin, Jean Ogorzalek of Chicago, IL, Russell (Mary) Ogorzalek of Medford, and David Ogorzalek of Lublin; 1 daughter-in-law: Debra Ogorzalek of Lublin; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 sister: Blanche Bonczkiewicz of Stanley. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

John was preceded in death by is parents, his wife: Ellen, his son: Joseph; 2 daughters in infancy; his grandson: Jonathan Ogorzalek; 1 brother: Andrew Ogorzalek and 2 sisters: Mary Dubiak and Leona Konczak.
