Gary J. Bergman, 66, Athens, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, under the care of Aseracare Hospice at Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014, at Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com

Gary J. Bergman, 66, Athens died Thursday, January 2, 2014 under the care of Aseracare Hospice at Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

He was born November 22, 1947 in Wausau, son of the late Alfred and Helen (Ruebow) Bergman. On June 11, 1966 he married Shirley Writz in Athens. She survives.

Gary was a dairy farmer in the town of Rietbrock his whole life. His passion was working on his Corvette, which he restored with his son Brian.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bergman, Stetsonville, his daughter, Brenda Bergman, Stetsonville, three grandchildren, Shania and Tyler Dinkmeyer and John Bean and two brothers, Richard Bergman, Marathon and Dennis Bergman, Spokane, WA as well as nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by one son Brian and two brothers, Dave and Thomas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
