Hunt, Clarence N. (10 MAR 1875 – 23 JUN 1949)
Clarence Nulzae Hunt, was
born March 10, 1875, at Melvina, Wis., and passed away at Two Harbors, Minn. on
June 23, 1949. He was the son of Henry W. and Mary Jocelyn Hunt. His parents
came to Greenwood when he was a year old, where his father had a general store
for many years. He attended school here and worked for his father in the store
through his school years, with the exception of a short period when he attended
school at Cornell, Iowa.
In 1900 he was united in marriage to Eda J. Neverman
of Neillsville, and to this union six children were born. After his father’s
retirement in 1906, he entered the employ of the International Harvester Company
and continued his residence in Greenwood for 10 years.
In 1918 Mr. Hunt was
promoted to the position of Branch Manager at Mankato, Minn. and in 1927 he was
transferred to the Minneapolis, Minn. branch of the company in the same
capacity. He remained in this position until his retirement in 1936, having been
in the employ of the company for 32 years.
