Varney, Ralph L. (30 JAN 1877 – 16 JAN 1949)
Ralph Varney grew to manhood on the Varney farm on the West Side, attended Gale
College, taught in rural schools hereabouts, went into a freight adjustment
business in Fond du Lac, later to Oshkosh, thence to great Falls, Montana, and
of late in Couer d’ Alene.
He suffered a broken hip a couple of years ago from which he had not fully
recovered. Then a stroke culminated
in his death. He leaves his wife,
(Henrietta); the twin sons (Harold & Howard) and their wives, three sisters,
Miss Edith Varney, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Louisa Warner, Deeth, Nev.; and Mrs.
Chester Huffnire (Maude) Cheyenne, Wyo.
His father and mother, three brothers, one sister and a son (Kenneth)
preceded him in death.
(Birth/death dates obtained from Idaho Death Index; names of wife and sons
obtained from census records.)
