Youngs, Alice Ann (06 DEC 1863 – 03 MAR 1943)

Alice Ann Youngs, daughter of James and Melinda Robison, was born December 6, 1863 at Sugar Gove, Sauk County, Wisconsin.

She was united in marriage to George William Youngs in 1884. To this union were born four children, Marshal Anthony, Nellie Maude (Mrs. F.H. Kennedy), Hershel Harry and an infant daughter.

She and her husband moved to Greenwood in 1898 where she has spent most of her life. The last few years she has been lovingly cared for by her two sons.

Mrs. Youngs was a splendid wife, a good neighbor and a kind and home loving mother and grandmother.

Her husband, two daughters and a grandson preceded her in death.

She passed to her eternal rest Wednesday evening March 3, 1943 having reached the age of 79 years, 2 months and 28 days. She had been an invalid for many years.

Funeral services were held in the Grace Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon, March 7th, the pastor Rev. Alex J. Abbott officiating. Mrs. Chal Perkins and Miss Evangeline Sheets sang “Rock of Ages” and “Nearer The Cross” accompanied on the piano by Mrs. John Meng. Interment was made in the Greenwood cemetery.

The pallbearers were Harry Hogue, John Arends, Ed Buker, C.C. Hoene, Simon Schwarze and Don Warner.

Mrs. Frank Kennedy of Waterloo, Wis. attended the funeral.
