Jake, Blanche M. (Marriage - 11 September 1971)

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville was the scene at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 11, of the marriage of Blanche M. Jake and Walter W. Beyer, both of Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double-ring ceremony before 55 guests.

For her marriage, the bride chose a street-length dress of pink crepe styled with pink lace sleeves and complimented by matching pink shoes. An Italian necklace and matching earrings of rose-colored stones completed her ensemble. Her corsage was made up of pink roses and white mums.

Mrs. Nina Drew, the bride’s sister was the matron-of-honor. She wore a blue-violet street-length dress with matching shoes. Her corsage was fashioned of white carnations and blue-violet straw flowers.

Harold W. Beyer, Stoughton, the groom’s brother, served as bestman. Ushers were Scott and Mark Tews, nephews of the groom

Organ music for the occasion was played by Victor Lehmann. The church was decorated with two bouquets of pink, purple and white gladioli.

A reception was held at the wildcat Inn.

Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan, the couple will reside in Neillsville, where the groom is superintendent of utilities. Both graduates of Neillsville High School, the newlyweds are members of the class of 1936.
