Neillsville Locals (9 September 1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Georgi of
Tacoma, Wash., spent ten days recently visiting with old friends and relatives
in this area. They Georgis were houseguests at the Walter Zahnow home in
Neillsville, and at the home of Mrs. Louise Prust at rural Chili. The Zahnows
took Mr. and Mrs. Georgi to the Mosinee airport Saturday, where the couple
boarded a plane for their trip home. They lived in the Neillsville Mound area
for about two years during the 1930s.
The Monday Study Club met September
13 at the home of Mrs. Rudy Syth. Program chairman for September was Mrs.
Elizabeth Crothers, who presented the topic, “How Chile, South America, chose
Marxism.
Mrs. William Neuhaus, Miss Elaine Wachholz and Mrs. Isabelle
Ferguson, all of St. Paul, Mn. and Miss Mae Krevich of Chicago, IL., visited
over the weekend with Mrs. Leonard Wachholz and with Mr. and Mrs. William Simek.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dux visited with Mrs. Wachholz Sunday evening.
