Waldhauser, Ruby J. (20 JAN 1936 - 8 JAN 2014)
Ruby J. Waldhauser,
77, Loyal, died on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital,
in Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11,
at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice officiated. Burial
followed in St. Anthony Cemetery. Her sons served as pallbearers.
Ruby
Jeanette Redig was born on Jan. 30, 1936, in the town of Sherman, to Elmer Sr.
and Mary (nee Buss) Redig. She was raised on the family farm and received her
education in the Spokeville area. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1954
and then attended UW-Eau Claire, where she studied nursing. Ruby married Robert
A. Waldhauser on April 22, 1957, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Loyal. She and
her husband raised their family and farmed in the town of Loyal. Robert died on
Oct. 25, 2008. Ruby resided on the home farm until the time of her death. She
was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She had many interests, but
especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, square dancing
in her younger years, crafts, baking, cooking, and gardening.
She will be
dearly missed by her children, Mike Waldhauser, Loyal, Jim Waldhauser, Wausau,
Dale Waldhauser, Loyal, Laurie (Doug) Winger, Milton, Margie (Ken) Gawenda,
Eastman, Cathy Waldhauser, Waukegan, Ill., Mary Ann Wilson, Colby, Andy
Waldhauser, Loyal, Chuck Waldhauser, Martinsville, Ind., Ken (Diane) Waldhauser,
Loyal, Paul Waldhauser, Loyal, Carrie (Steve) Troutt, Spencer, Kim Waldhauser,
Green Bay, and Aaron (Lynn) Waldhauser, Loyal; 20 grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; nine siblings, Donna Bauer,
Spencer, Lorna (Ted) Mueller, Spencer, Elmer Redig Jr., Spencer, Darlene (Jody)
Laib, Stafford,Texas, Joyce (Jerry) Davis, Trinity, Texas, Arvin Redig,
Riplinger, Sharon Engevold, Spencer, Cheryl Miller, Unity, and Alan Redig,
Spencer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert; one daughter-in-
law,
Patricia Waldhauser; and one brother, Orin Redig.
