Lawrence, Mable (11 JAN 1906 - 6 DEC 1952)
On
Saturday, Dec 6th, one mile north of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) on Highway
73, at 3:45 p.m., occurred a collision of an auto driven by Bernard Davis,
Neillsville, and a car driven by Ralph Benson, also of Neillsville.
In
the car driven by Davis were himself and Harold Imig. Both were admitted to the
Neillsville Hospital, Davis with fractured ribs and right wrist, and Imig with
fracture ribs.
In the Benson car were Benson, his wife and mother-in-law,
Mrs. Wm. Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence, whose leg was amputated, passed away at the
Neillsville Hospital at 9:00 Saturday evening. She was the former Mable Silkey,
and was born Jan. 11, 1906, and married to Wm. Lawrence on April 12, 1925 at
Withee.
She was a resident of the Town of Weston (Clark Co., Wis.) all
her life, and a member of the Methodist Church of Christie and its Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Frances Benson, her father,
Henry Silkey, 2 half-brothers, Ed Silkey, Neillsville and George Silkey of Alma,
Wash.
