Clintsman, Inez (27 JUL
1896 - 3 DEC 1952)
Inez Clintsman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Clintsman, was born in the Town of York, Clark Co., Wis. On July 27,
1896. She received her education the Clark County school and was employed for
seven years at Watertown, S.D.
She also resided at Oshkosh, Owen and
Neillsville before coming to Greenwood to make her home with her uncle, Warren
Barnett.
Miss Clintsman passed away at the Neillsville Hospital on
Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 1952. She had been taken to the hospital on the
previous Friday, following a stroke. She had been in poor health for several
years.
She is survived by three brothers, Fred and Francis of Greenwood,
and Floyd of Owen, and by three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Brager, Eau Claire; Mrs.
Ollie Leinger, Oshkosh; and Mrs. Celia Berthold, Willard.
Her parents and
one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the Grace
Methodist Church in Greenwood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6th, with the Rev.
Virgil Nulton officiating. She was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
During the service Mrs. Chal Perkins and Miss Evangeline Sheets sang "Ivory
Palaces" and ""Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Olson.
The
pallbearers were Verland Berrett, Oscar Brandt, Arthur Syth, Hugh Christie, Evan
Hatton and Harry Stafford.
Out of town relatives and friends at the
services included: Mr. and Mrs. Dick Elmer, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Remo, Oshkosh;
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brager, Hannibal; Miss Lorraine Berthold, St. Paul; Mr. and
Mrs. Don Berthold, Wis. Dells; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mashin, Guy Turner, Mrs. Earl
Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bush, Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Potts, Neillsville; Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin Churkey and daughter, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Dimler, Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Dillenbeck, Marshfield, and Mrs. Frank Duell, Loyal.
