Ruplinger, Mary L. (Burish) (26 DEC 1956 - 9 JUL 2006)

Mary L. Ruplinger, 49, 7203 Woodsmoke Road, Wausau died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, as a result of traffic accident.

She was born December 26, 1956 in Wausau, daughter of James and Lillian (Skrzypcak) Burish. On May 3, 1986 she married Dean Ruplinger at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He survives.

Mary was a teacher’s aide at Newman Catholic Elementary School at St. Anne in Wausau, where the students affectionately called her "Miss Mary". She had previously worked in the office at Greenheck for 10 years. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading and Friday fish-fries with friends. She also enjoyed riding on the motorcycle with her husband Dean.

Survivors besides her parents James and Lillian Burish, Marathon include her husband, Dean Ruplinger, Wausau, her sons, Bennett and Jordan Ruplinger, at home, her siblings, David (Marie) Burish and Kay (Randy) Voigt, both of Wausau, her father and mother-in-law, Wyman (Isabelle) Ruplinger, Marathon, her brothers and sister-in-law, Gary (Connie) Ruplinger, Marathon, Guy (Susan) Ruplinger, Wausau and Edee (Tim) Zueleger, Marathon. Mary is further survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Mary’s name.
