Worden, Neva (29 December 1903 - September 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Wesley (Neva) Worden, 67, of Rt. 3, Greenwood, who
died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, were held Saturday, September 25,
at 2 p.m. from the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Owen. The Rev. LeRoy
Gross officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Hill Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Worden, the former Neva
Sinclair, daughter of Ernest and Hariett (Frayette) Sinclair, was born December
29, 1903, in the town of Beaver. She received her education in the La Tart
School. Her marriage to Wesley Worden took place November 5, 1920, at Loyal. The
couple farmed in the townships of Beaver and Warner. Mrs. Worden was a member of
the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood.
Survivors, in addition to
her husband, include three sons, Kenneth of Owen, Robert of Greenwood, and
Warren of Oconto; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by her father, Ernest Sinclair, a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Stella) Brueske,
and a brother, Ervin Sinclair of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Pallbearers
were Earl Richardson, Robert Branstiter, Don Branstiter, Garwin Schrimper, Vilas
Emberson and Nyle Brandt.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Richardson, Mrs. LeRoy Gross
and Mrs. Marilyn Straughn sang, “In the Glory of His Presence” and “Until”,
accompanied by Mrs. Lydia Awe.
