Mayer, Carol E. (Marriage - 25
September 1971)
Miss Carol E. Mayer became the bride of Charles F.
Stumpner Saturday afternoon, September 25, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at
Fairview. The Rev. Rudolph Urbic officiated at the 1 p.m. nuptial mass which
united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mayer of Humbird and the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Stumpner of Loyal.
Miss Cynthia Gass of Eau Claire was
the maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Karen Sternitzky, also of Eau Claire. The
bridal attendants were attired in empire-styled dresses of white dotted Swiss
over Orchid organza, accented with venise lace.
David Fricke of Loyal
served as bestman. Groomsman was Larry Sternitzky of Eau Claire. Ushers were
Richard Dimmitt, cousin of the bride and Thomas Stumpner, brother of the groom.
A wedding reception and a dance were held at the Wildcat Inn.
Following a
wedding trip to Canada, the couple will live in Eau Claire.
