Robert E. Nandory, age, 67, of
Humbird, WI died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Black River
Memorial Hospital.
Bob was born in Black River Falls on October 16, 1946 to Paul and Evaline (Lindow) Nandory. He was raised in Black River Falls and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1965. He was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. Bob married Linda M. Spitzenberger in Chippewa Falls, WI on May 16, 1970.
He was a semi-truck driver for Nelson Industries. His hobbies and special interests included operating his hobby farm and raising Herefords, going hunting and fishing, and dabbling in woodwork. He served on the Mentor Cemetery Association Board, and he just recently retired from the Humbird Fire Department. He was an avid listener of WWIS Buy-Line.
Surviving are his wife Linda, one son, Joseph (Keri) Nandory, Black River Falls,
one daughter, Susan (Troy) Thompson, Black River Falls, 3 brothers, Harry
Nandory, Jefferson City, MO, Bill (Deb) Nandory, Chippewa Falls, WI, and Jim
(Jamie) Nandory, Byron, MN, 2 sisters, Virginia (Gene) O’Neill, Black River
Falls, and Helen (Jerry) Finch, Eau Claire, WI, 3 grandchildren, Kyleigh
Nandory, Allan and Lee Thompson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was
preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Herman and Delores Spitzenberger,
a niece, Katie Mathis, a brother-in-law, Thomas Spitzenberger, and a
sister-in-law, Shirley Nandory.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 from the Buswell
Funeral (715-284-2231) 106 S. 2nd Black River Falls. Services will be conducted
by Pastor Kathleen Jury and burial followed by flag presentation will be at the
Mentor Cemetery in Humbird, WI. Relatives and friends may call at Buswell
Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 until 7 P.M. and on Friday from 10 A.M. until
the time of services.
