The Eau Claire Leader of Monday, March 2, 1953 carried a report of the death of Lawrence Berg, Sr. of Stanley, who passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lars Larson on Monday morning, March 2, 1953.

In 1921 Mr. Berg opened a Photo Studio in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), which he operated until 1950, when he moved to Stanley and made his home with his mother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5th at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanley, with Rev. John Mason officiating. He will be laid to rest in the east Side Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Andrew Berg, Neenah; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Lempke, Neenah; Mrs. Lars Larson, Stanley, two brothers, Alfred of Stanley and Robert, Bagley, Minn.
