Vinger Trip (FEB 1953)
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger, who left here on Feb. 7th, 1953 for a trip through
the south and west, returned home on Friday evening. They report a good roads
and ideal weather, in fact the only snow they encountered was at Neillsville on
their return home. They did have a little ice in the mountains of New Mexico.
They spent one night at the Lawrence Kuester home at St. Louis, Mo., and
they report the family in good health and living in their own nice home. From
here they traveled to Oklahoma, where they spent a day with relatives. They then
continued on to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they again visited relatives.
The rest of the time was spent in Phoenix, Ariz. And La Jolla, which is a
suburb of San Diego, Calif. They took a short trip into Mexico and California.
They covered 6,000 miles and had no car trouble.
