Christensen, Albert T. (5 JUL 1874 - 8 MAR
1953)
Albert Theodore Christensen, 78, of route two, Marysville, Wash.,
died at his home March 8, 1953.
He was born July 5, 1874 in Eau Claire
Co., Wis. And resided at route 2, since 1913. He is survived by his wife, Olive
Maude, at home; one son, Clarence and one daughter, Mrs. Lila Tauberneck, both
of route 2; two brothers, Lewis Christensen of Marysville and Oscar Christensen
of Moose Pass, Alaska; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Schaefer of Marysville; eight
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was married to Maud Scovel on
Nov. 10, 1904 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Scovel near La Tart
School, Town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.). To this union were born three
children, one daughter Lila and two sons, Vernon, drowned in a stock tank on the
farm where they lived for a few years. This happened in May 1910. After this
son's death, they moved to Greenwood, where another sons was born, Clarence.
Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Schaefer Funeral
Home, Wednesday, March 11th. Rev. E. Clifford Newham of Marysville Methodist
Church officiated, and burial was in the Marysville Cemetery.
The above
article was sent to us by Lewis Christensen and says his brother spent 39 years
of his early life in and around Greenwood, and will be remembered by many old
friends here. He moved with his family to Marysville in 1913.
