R.E. Thompson and George Glass of
Neillsville called at the Jake Speich home Saturday afternoon.
Mmes. E.S.
Ellingson, Lawrence Cox, George Speich and Simon Wehrman were Eau Claire callers
Friday adn attended the Music Festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Abel, Mrs.
Lydia Dill and Jack Abel visited Adolph Abel and other patients at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield, Monday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Speich of Eau
Claire spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Speich.
Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Gauger of Arcadia spent Sunday at the George Hoehne home.
Frank LaBonte, who spent the past three months in California, returned home
last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut and daughter Bunee of Curtiss
spent Sunday with Miss Martha Horn.
Mrs. Oliver Kesler underwent an
operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Saturday morning.
Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Johnson and family of Wis. Rapids spent Sunday at the Jos. Mikottis
home.
Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Baird and family visited at the Richard Engle
home at Eau Claire Sunday.
Mrs. George Cline spent last week visiting her
son Frank Cline and family at Pittsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Edwards
visited relatives at Black River Falls on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. R.J.
Weiher and their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Williams, visited patients at
St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger
attended the funeral of her sister, Mrs. P.O Ula at Janesville on Friday. They
also visited another sister of Mrs. Vinger's, Mrs. Harry Mason, at a hospital in
Kenosha.
Oliver Kesler and son visited Mrs. Kesler at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Keiner, Mary and Marie
of Eau Claire, Mrs. Christ Keiner and Louise were guests Sunday at the Hugh
Severson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Albrecht and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Radlinger and Julene of Abbotsford visited Monday at the Herman Metzke home.
W.F. Neuenfeldt, who was a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield for
the past four weeks, returned home on Tuesday.
Mrs. George Caliebe, Mrs.
Lydia Dill and Miss Jo Ann Kitzhaber were at Marshfield Friday evening and
visited patients at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Flikke and
two sons of Minneapolis, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
Christie.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Drake returned home Friday from a visit with
their son Donald and family at Casop..?, Mich. They report Mrs. Donald Drake,
who was ill, as gaining nicely.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Myhrman and son Kent
of St. Cloud, Minn. visited from Monday until Thursday with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Drake. On Thursday they went to Duluth to visit his parents.
Nels Fulsang Sr. and son Nels, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Fulsang of Chicago, spent
the past six weeks at the Syth home, returned to Chicago with them.
Friends of George Poole are sorry to hear that he is in the hospital at
Darlington suffering from a heart attack. He returned recently from the state of
Washington, where he suffered his first attack. He is 91 1/2 years of age and is
losing his eyesight and so cannot see to write. Maybe some of his old friends
would write him a line, as we know he would be very please.
Mr. and Mrs.
Leo Zubke of Arpin, Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bauch of Cameron visited Sunday at the Wm.
Hubert home. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Worden.
Marion
Koschak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koschak, Ely, Minn. was a weekend guest
at the home of Mrs. Lud Koschak, Jacksonville, Fla.. The first meeting took
place when Marion, who is in the Waves, reported for instruction in the class
room where Chief Koschak teaches. Although not closely related, their families
have been close friends for many years.
Wm. Brzezinski entered St.
Joseph's Hospital Sunday for an examination.
Mrs. Stryker Flagg of
Milwaukee visited relatives and friends here over the weekend.
Mr. and
Mrs. James McConnell and family spent the weekend with relatives in St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Williams of Bruce spent from Friday until Monday with
their son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. R.J. Weiher.
Tony Schiller,
who spent the past two months with his wife and daughter in Phoenix, Arizona,
arrived home last Friday.
Mrs. Ignatz Koschak and daughters visited at
the Herman Metzke home Sunday afternoon.
The Home Interest Homemakers
Club of this city will meet on Tuesday afternoon, April 7th, at the Charles
Ludwig home. The demonstration will be on cake decorating.
