Toburen, William H. (22 JAN 1881 - 25 APR 1953)

Funeral services for William Henry Toburen, 72, who passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, from a heart attack on Saturday, April 25, 1953. The Rev. Charles Koch officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

During the service the Senior Choir sang "Ivory Palaces" and "Mude Ihn Ich Geh Zur Ruh," accompanied by Mrs. Leona Albert at the organ.

The pallbearers were: Emil Noah, George Humke, Albert Fravert, Calvin Franz, Jake Speich and Theodore Kippenhan.

Mr. Toburen is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Robbins, Minneapolis; Mrs. John (Dolores) Goger, Chicago; two sons, Erwin and Delmar, Greenwood; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nels (Louise) Fulsang, Chicago; and Mrs. Arthur (Amelia) Syth, Greenwood, and a brother, Gust Toburen, Wausau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Miller and Laura Toburen.

Out of town relatives and friends at the services included: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robbins and daughter Cary, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. John Goger and daughters Shirley and Sharon, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Nels Fulsang, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Toburen and Mr. and Mrs. Ary Toburen, Wausau; Mrs. Henry Langenhahn and Mrs. Lucy Langenhahn, and Mrs. Emma Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Cunningham, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schmid, Mr. and Mrs. John Gatz Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hendricks, Cochrane; Mrs. Frank Schmidt, Mrs. Wm. Gueitzow, Mrs. Wilbur Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Schmidt, Alma; Mr. and Mrs. John Gatz Jr. and Elmer Gatz and daughters, Mondovi; Harold Gatz and daughters, Lake City, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Gueitzow, La Crosse; and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nystrom, Chippewa Falls.

Mr. Toburen was employed at the Stewart Cheese Factory from 1945 until about a month ago, when he was forced to stop working because of ill health.
