MAY 1953)
Mrs. Katherine Ociecek, 68, passed away at St. Elizabeth
Hospital, Chicago, on Monday, May 4, 1953 at 10:10 a.m. from a heart ailment.
Mrs. Ocieciek was ill with a heart condition for the past two years, but had
gone to Chicago for a visit at Christmas and planned on returning for Memorial
Day.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Everett (Sally) Eppers,
Loyal; Mrs. Albert (Mary) Bratko, Mrs. Walter (Stella) Kozencak, Chicago; Rose
La Due, Eau Claire; and Mrs. George (Helen) Grober, Milwaukee; eight
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband passed away Aug.
24, 1948 and she was also preceded in death by a son.
A Solemn Requiem
Mass will be sung at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, at 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday, May 7th, the Rev. Father Peikarski, pastor, as celebrant, Rev. John
Novak, Junction City and Rev. Norbert King, Loyal, assisting. She will be laid
to rest in the cemetery at Thorp.
