Walter, William J. (7 JUL 1873 -
18 MAY 1953)
William J. Walter, age 74, and a resident of Route 2, Green
Bay Road, Kenosha County, Wis., died at St. Catherine's Hospital, Kenosha,
Monday noon, following a short illness.
He was born on July 7, 1873 in
Neudorf, Austria, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walter. At the
age of 12 he left his birth place with his parents and resided in Sheboygan,
Wis., where he was educated. Later he moved to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and
for the past 27 years, he has lived in Kenosha. He was a mason contractor by
trade.
Mr. Walter was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Kenosha, of which parish he was also a member.
Surviving
are two daughters and three sons, Mrs. John Milkent of Kenosha, Mrs. Irene
Weyker, Milwaukee; Harold and Gordon, Wausau and Raymond of Denver, Colo.; two
brother, Richard, Kenosha; Joseph, Greenwood; four sisters, Mrs. Nick Wyk, Mrs.
Wm. Anderson, Mrs. Otto Craig, and Mrs. Charles Baum, all of Kenosha; 21
grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday morning, May 21 at 8:30 from Mischler's Home for Funerals and at 9 a.m.
at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kenosha. Interment will be at St. George
Cemetery, Kenosha.
