Jeras, Tony Jr. (Falls from Boat - 28 JUN 1953)
Last
Sunday afternoon while attending a church picnic at the Rock Dam Resort, Tony
Jeras Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Jeras Sr., Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), almost
met his death while playing in a boat near the water. Somehow he lost his
balance and toppled over the side of the boat into the deep water and sank to
the bottom in no time.
His playmates, noticing this, called for help and
in no time Julius Klapatauskas, Willard, and his brother Michael jumped in and
rescued Tony. The men being fully dressed, lost no time and the young six year
old boy was bo worse for his sad experience.
