Arnold, Suzanne (26 JUN 1953)

The Amherst community Church in Snyder, N.Y. was the setting for the wedding of Miss Suzanne Arnold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Arnold of Snyder, and John Peter Olson, son of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Olson of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis., at 7:00 o'clock on Friday evening, June 26, 1953.

Dr. Olin B. Tracy performed the ceremony. The attendants were Miss Ann Fife of Canterbury, N.H., maid of honor, and the Misses Janet Olson, sister of the bridegroom of Greenwood, Wis., Ann Smither of Eggertsville, Joan McGrath of Evanston, Ill., and Diane Clark of Utica, bridesmaids.

The bride was gowned in Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin. It was fashioned with a snug fitting bodice and a V neckline was accented with a scalloped Queen Ann collar. Swathed nylon tulle on the front bodice extended into a full accordion-pleated panel in the front of the bouffant lace skirt, giving a redingote effect. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion veil fell from a cap of lace and she carried Eucharist lilies and stephanotis in a cascade bouquet.

The maid of honor wore a white tiered lace dress over white taffeta and carried blue delphiniums and Eucharist lilies. The bridesmaids were similarly gowned in white lace over blue taffeta and carried delphiniums and lilies.

John Helner of Minneapolis, Minn. served as Mr. Olson's best man. Ushers were Donald Arnold, brother of the bride; Philip Alderks of Cincinnati, Richard Juberg of Lapeer, Mich., and Stan Wiener of Rochester.

For traveling, Mrs. Olson wore a suit of aqua linen with white accessories. She is a recent graduate of Carleton College, Northfield, Minn. The bridegroom also graduated from Carleton and is entering his second years at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.

After a reception in the church hall the couple left for a honeymoon in the New England states. The newlyweds are residing at 45 Gold Street, Rochester, N.Y.
