Kotzian, Anton (13 DEC 1886 - 9 JUL 1953)
Anton Kotzian was
born in Yugoslavia on Dec. 13, 1886 and came to the United States when he was 13
years old. He settled in Calumet, Mich. and was employed as a steamfitter in
Chicago and also prospected for iron ore.
Mr. Kotzian, who had been
spending the past two weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Brayer in
Marshfield, died suddenly at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 1953 of a heart
attack.
The body was taken to Chicago where services were held at 2:00
p.m. at the Zafran Funeral Home and he was laid to rest in Chicago.
Mr.
Kotzian resided in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past two years with his
brother-in-law, George Vivoda and had been in the Marshfield hospital a few
weeks prior to going to the Brayer home.
Mr. Kotzian was preceded in
death by two wives and three sisters.
