Schneider, Tom (Near Drowning - 14 AUG 1953)
Tommy Schneider, seven year
old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider, nearly drowned at the Tourist Park
last Friday afternoon. The quick response of David Loos, Colby, Robert Henchen,
Loyal and George Plautz, who are employed by Plautz Bros, and who were working
at the dam at the time, was all that saved Tommy.
These men rushed to the
scene of the accident, when Becky Peroshek summoned them. They jumped and pulled
Tommy to safety and immediately started giving him first aid. Floyd Plautz, who
also works for Plautz Bros., drove to Greenwood for Dr. Olson.
Thanks to
the quick response of these men, another victim was saved from the treacherous
Black River.
