Sersch, Marcella E. (22 AUG 1953)
Marriage
vows were exchanged Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Spencer, before the Rev. Randolph Mueller by Miss Marcella Elaine Sersch,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sersch, route 2, Spencer, and Guy Weidman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weidman, Owen.
The bridal gown was fashioned of heavy
white satin and yards of wide Alencon lace. The shirred lace outlined the deep
net yoke and waistline and also was used in trimming the full skirt which
extended into a train. The bodice close in back with satin covered buttons and
had long sleeves extending to points at the wrists.
The veil of illusion
had a tiny rolled hem and was attached to a satin bonnet, the heart-shaped front
of which was decorated with twisted strands of miniature pearls.
For her
bouquets, the bride carried deep red roses centered with white carnations and
interspersed with green ivy.
The three bridal attendants wore identical
floor length gowns of blue satin and matching wreath headdresses and also
carried similar bouquets. Miss Lois Neitzel, Marshfield, was maid of honor, and
her sister, Miss Betty Neitzel, Marshfield, and the bride's cousin, Miss Shirley
Sersch, Ridgeway, were the bridesmaids.
The best man was Larry Gerke,
Owen, and two cousins of the bride, Gerald Sersch, Ridgeway, and Armin Pottin,
Spencer, served as groomsmen.
The bride's mother was attired in a grey
suit with red accessories and the groom's mother wore a grey frock with black
accessories. Each had a corsage of pink and white roses.
When the new
Mrs. Weidman left with her husband on a week's wedding trip to Manitowish, she
was wearing a navy blue suit. Until spring the newlyweds plan to make their home
with the Paul Sersch's at Spencer. Mr. Weidman is a trucker for William
Weinberger of Withee.
