Vivian (5 SEP 1953)
When Mr. and Mrs. Ted Briski return from their
honeymoon in northern Wisconsin they will take up residence in Greenwood (Clark
Co., Wis.). The new Mrs. Briski, the former Miss Vivian Langfeldt, daughter of
Mrs. Alvin Goutcher, Unity, and Ted Briski, son of Mrs. Matt Briski, Greenwood,
were married Saturday afternoon in the South Green Grove Church near Unity. The
Rev. Mr. Grafe officiated at the 2 o'clock rites.
A white floor length
satin gown, featuring an overskirt of lace, was selected by the bride for her
marriage. A high rounded collar topped the long sleeved lace bodice. Lace and
seed pearls combined to fashion the crown that held her fingertip veil of
illusion. Streamers extended from her shower bouquet of red sweetheart roses
interspersed with white stephanotis and swansonia.
A net bolero jacket
was worn with the blue satin and net frock by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Kenneth
Vollrath, Greenwood, in her role as matron of honor. She carried a sheaf of
roses tied with ribbons to match the hue of her gown. Mrs. Robert Briski,
Greenwood, a sister-in-law of the groom, as bridesmaid, donned a pink satin gown
designed with a dotted Swiss overskirt. Ribbons in her bouquet of roses were
pink like her formal.
Albert Briski, Minneapolis, was best man for his
brother, and Adelbert Langfeldt, Unity, a brother of the bride, was was
groomsman.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was employed as a nurse in
the Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. Her husband is employed by the Greenwood Co-op.
