Mr. and Mrs. Victor Vinger
of Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger returned home on Monday evening, Sept.
14, 1953 from a very enjoyable trip through Canada and the easter States.
They stopped at Mackinac Island and at Sault Ste. Marie and crossed into
Canada, While in Canada they visited many interesting places, among them Ottawa,
the capital, where they went through the Parliament building and the Peace
building. They spent some time in Montreal and Quebec City. While in Quebec they
toured the city itself and surrounding territory.
They returned to the
United States and stopped in Boston, where again they took many sightseeing
trips, both by boat and car, and also saw Cape Cod. They drove through the
states of New Jersey, New Hampshire, Maine and New York on the east coast.
On their way home they came via Buffalo, Detroit and Chicago into Wisconsin
and visited the Chester Vinger family at Argyle.
The entire trip was made
without even as much as a flat tire.
