Frye, Rev. Sylvester (? - 16 OCT 1953)
Rev. Father Sylvester Frey, former
pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church here from 1923 to 1928 and recently pastor
of St. Mary's Church at St. Mary's Ridge, passed away at St. Francis Hospital,
La Crosse, on Friday, Oct. 16, 1953.
A Solemn Requiem Mass was sung at
St. Mary's Church at St. Mary's Ridge on Tuesday, Oct. 20th and the second
Solemn Requiem Mass was sung at St. Mary' Church, Big River, on Wednesday, Oct.
21st. Burial was made at Big River.
