Moon, Dolores (24 OCT 1953)

On Saturday, Oct. 24, 1953 at a 9:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass, Miss Dolores Moon, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. David Moon of Milwaukee, became the bride of Harry P. Plunkett Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett Sr. of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. Father Edward Hartung officiated.

The bride wore a white satin floor length gown with a fingertip veil of nylon tulle and lace, which fell from a Victorian style headpiece with seeded pearls. Her bouquet was of red and white roses.

Miss Alice Ann Plunkett, Madison, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, wore a pink net dress over taffeta with a matching headpiece of veiling and net. She carried a bouquet of yellow carnations.

Miss Sally Haasch, Milwaukee, a friend of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a gown of wine colored net over taffeta, with a matching headpiece. She also carried a bouquet of yellow carnations.

The groom was attended by Donald Gerber, Milwaukee, a friend, as groomsman, and his brother, Joe Plunkett of Eau Claire as best man.

Following the ceremony a breakfast was served to the wedding party at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendricks.

The bride's mother viewed her daughter's wedding in a black taffeta dress with black accessories and a black velvet hat. Her corsage was of white carnations.

The groom's mother wore a brown crepe dress with brown accessories and a rust colored hat. She also wore a corsage of white carnations.

The groom is a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School, Greenwood High School with the class of 1950, and is employed by Edward's Electric.

The young couple are enjoying a honeymoon in southern Wisconsin.

Van Pieterson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kutherireutlier and John Ott, Milwaukee; Miss Alice Ann Plunkett, Madison; Alice, Joseph and Ellsworth Plunkett, Tomah; Mrs. LeRoy Plunkett, Minneapolis; Mrs. Pearl Majewski and daughter Roberta and Mrs. Darrell Randall, Ashland.
