LaFleur, William (27 DEC 1860 - 27 OCT 1953)
Funeral services for
William LaFleur, 93, a resident of this community (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.)
for 75 years, and who passed away at Neillsville on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1953, were
held Thursday, Oct. 29 at 1:15 p.m. in the Georgas Funeral Home at Neillsville.
The Rev. Virgil W. Nulton officiated. Burial took place in the Town of Weston
Cemetery.
Mr. LaFleur was born Dec. 27, 1860 in Essex Co., N.Y., and was
married Feb. 10, 1902 at Neillsville to Frances M. Cassidy. At the age of 18 he
came to Clark County with his parents and the family located on a farm south the
Christie Mound. He farmed there for 16 years and worked in lumber camps out of
Park Falls. In 1918 he went to Texas and returned two years later.
Surviving are his wife, four children, Nina, Morris, Herbert and Vernon, all
living in McAllen, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Gene (Alice) Mac, McAllen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
