Sturtz, Cassie M. (23 OCT 1901 -
15 NOV 1953)
Mrs. Howard Sturtz Sr., 52, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died of
a heart attack at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 1953, while visiting at the
Raymond Kalsow home near Globe.
Mrs. Sturtz, nee Cassie Marie Gray, was
born Oct. 23, 1901 at Viroqua. At the age of 18 she moved with her family to
Greenwood where they lived on a farm until 1927, when they moved to Loyal and
have resided there ever since. She was married to Howard Sturtz Sr. on Feb. 23,
1923 at Greenwood.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the
Myre Funeral Home in Loyal on Wednesday. The Rev. Willard Mecklenburg
officiated. Burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving
are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gray of Loyal, two daughters,
Mrs. Norman E. (Bernadine) Miller, Granton; and Carol at home; two sons, Howard
at Marshfield and Donald of Milwaukee; six grandchildren, two brothers, Alfred
Gray, Loyal and Roger Gray, Readstown; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mable)
Reineking, Rio; Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Stafford, Waupaca; and Mrs. Melvin (Helen)
Parish, Tomah. One son preceded her in death.
