Mrs. Joe Micke of Longwood and Mrs. Ben Kmiec
attended the funeral of Oscar Moe at Stanley on Monday.
Mrs. Bert Brown
and Mrs. Ronald Tieman were Marshfield callers on Wednesday.
Palmer
Vinger and Wm. Kavanaugh were at Marshfield last Tuesday evening where Palmer
was initiated into the Elks Club.
Conrad Olson of River Falls called on
his grandmother, Mrs. Annie Dyre, and on Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson, on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Emory Voie and family of Fond du Lac spent from Thursday until
Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie and with other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Neuenfeldt, Dennis and Jayne and Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Neuenfeldt visited Sunday at the James Neuenfeldt home at Medford. Mary Jo and
Karen Neuenfeldt, who had been visiting here, returned to their home in Medford
with them.
Miss Patricia Syth and girlfriend of Madison spent
Thanksgiving and the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Caliebe.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knutsen spent Thanksgiving Day with friends at Wausau.
Dale Metcalf, Milwaukee, spent Thanksgiving and the weekend with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Metcalf.
On Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2:30 p.m. Mrs.
Don Warner presented 35 pupils at an organ recital at Our Savior's Lutheran
Church, to a large audience.
Weekend guests at the W.A. Stewart home
were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Van Keuren and daughter Patrice, Madison; Mr. and Mrs.
Everett Humke, La Crosse; and Kenton Stewart, Stevens Point, and Mrs. Ardis
Roath, Wausau.
Mrs. Frank Laken and Mrs. Joe Verschay called at the Ben
Kmiec home last Friday.
Mrs. Walter Timm and son Don of Monroe spent the
weekend with Mrs. John Wuethrich Sr.
Miss Donna Mae Buker, Milwaukee,
spent the Thanksgiving weekend with Her mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Buker.
Miss
Joan Colby, who attends State Teachers College at Eau Claire, spent Thanksgiving
and the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Marge Colby.
Everett Metcalf,
Madison, spent Thanksgiving vacation here with home folks.
Jerry Baird
and Ronald Syth, who are attending school at Eau Claire, spent their
Thanksgiving vacation here with home folks.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rahn of
Shirley, Indiana, spent from Wednesday until Sunday with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Geo. Vollrath.
Miss Darlene Horn, who attends school at Whitewater,
spent Thanksgiving and the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Horn.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Steiger and family spent from Wednesday until Sunday
with his mother, Mrs. Ed Steiger, in Milwaukee.
Ed Braun Jr., who visited
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Braun Sr., returned to his work at Johnstown, Pa.
on Saturday.
Gary Speich, Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Speich, Eau
Claire, spent Thanksgiving and the weekend with their paretns, Mr. and Mrs. Jake
Speich.
Mrs. Emil Drummond of Cook, Minn. spent from Saturday until
Wednesday with her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Wuethrich, here and at the
Neillsville Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Karlen and family of Boyd
visited Saturday evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth.
Mrs. John Wuethrich Sr. had the misfortune to break her left arm just below
the shoulder when a car she was getting into accidentally backed up, knocking
her down. She was taken to the Neillsville Hospital, where she is receiving
treatment. The accident happened Saturday night.
Word has been received
from Duane Horn, by his parents, that he might be home for Christmas, or at
least on the way home, and asked that no packages or mail be sent to him at his
overseas address.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caliebe and family moved recently
into their new home in Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Speich and family
of Stanley spent Thanksgiving Day with his father, John Speich.
Mr. and
Mrs. Mike Kowieski and family visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kowieski at
Thorp on Thanksgiving Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Garth Luchterhand and son Carl,
Loyal, visited at the Hugh Severson and Mrs. Christ Keiner homes on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schwarze of Madison visited relatives here Monday.
The Misses Ann Gasparac and Donna Ruzic, Eau Claire, spent Thanksgiving and
the weekend with their parents.
Miss Janet Olson, Madison, spent
Thanksgiving and the weekend with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Wm. Olson.
Miss Donna Brzezinski, Madison, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Brzezinski.
Hi Carl, Madison, spent Thanksgiving and the weekend with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Carl.
Friends of Frank LaBonte may wish
to know that he has transferred from Luther Hospital, Eau Claire to the Stanley
Memorial Hospital at Stanley.
Miss Barbara Koschak, who attends school at
Whitewater, spent her Thanksgiving vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.J.
Koschak.
Richard Grum, who attends school at Ashland, spent his
Thanksgiving vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Grum.
Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Kurtzheim and Claude Severson of Milwaukee spent from Friday until
Sunday at the Hugh Severson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Gus Anderson, Athens,
visited Sunday at the Palmer Vinger home.
