Cole, Martha (89th Birthday - 3 DEC 1953)

Relatives and friends helped Mrs. Martha Cole celebrate her 89th birthday anniversary at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, on Sunday, Dec. 5th. The anniversary fell on Thursday, Dec. 3rd, but as many could not attend on that day, the event was celebrated on Sunday.

Mrs. Cole four daughters, Mrs. Henry (Sarah) Dittner, Eleva; Mrs. George (Mary) Steinhaus, Cornell; Mrs. Bethel Beckman, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Leonard (Lois) Johnson, Greenwood, were present for the celebration, as well as were all but two of her twelve grandchildren and six of her eighteen great-grandchildren.

Dinner and supper were served and Mrs. Cole received many nice gifts and cards.

Books and sons John and Todd, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Mueller, Charlene, Bernadine and Eddie, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Dittner, Judith, Sandra and Danny, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dittner, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Walter, Diane, Gloria and Susan, Osseo; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prust and Lois, Spencer; Miss Ann Lawton, Mrs. Belva Best and Betty, Viroqua; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Behr, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Sigward Johnson, Loyal; Mrs. Josie Hubble, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, Dale, Sam Harry and Ray, Greenwood.
