Now at home on R. a,
Watertown, are Mr. and Mrs. Allison Dittmar, who were married Saturday, Nov. 21,
1953. The 7:00 p.m. candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Ellsworth
Kalas, in the Wesley Methodist Church at Watertown.
The bride is the
former Lorraine Carteron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V.R. Carteron of Greenwood,
while her husband is the son of Mr. William Dittmar, Watertown.
Given in
marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace and satin,
styled with a deep shoulder neckline, long pointed sleeves and a train. Her
fingertip veil was caught to a tiara trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a
cascade bouquet of white roses and mums.
Miss Beverly Carteron, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a floor length gown of French blue velvet
and taffeta with a net overskirt and a matching picture bonnet and gauntlets,
and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and white mums.
Bridesmaids
were Marion Reese, Ixonia, Mrs. Herman Procknow and Mrs. Robert Lund, Watertown.
They wore American Beauty colored gowns and matching bonnets and carried cascade
bouquet of red roses and white mums.
Flower girl was Bonnie Walthausen,
cousin of the bride, who wore a gown similar to the bride's. She carried a
miniature bouquet and wore a headpiece of flowers.
Best man was Walter
Trost of Milwaukee. Herman Procknow, Watertown, was the groomsman, and ushers
were Harold Froelich, Burnett, and Robert Lund, Watertown.
Ring bearer
was Gary Procknow, nephew of the groom.
For the wedding, the bride's
mother wore a slate blue dress with black accessories. Mrs. Dittmar wore a grey
dress with black accessories. Both wore corsages of red roses and white
carnations.
Mrs. Charles Yeomans sang "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer,"
accompanied by Mrs. George Steele.
A reception was held following the
ceremony in the Fireman's Hall at Ixonia.
Guests attending the wedding
were from Waukesha, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Madison, Barrington, Ill.; Merrill;
Burnett, Brodhead, Oconomowoc, Watertown, Pewaukee, Eagle, Racine, Sturtevant,
Elgin, Ill. and Belleville.
