Schmidt, Vila Irene (? - 20 September 1971)

Friends here have been informed of the death Monay, September 20, of Mrs. Vila Irene Schmidt, 86, of San Pedro, Cal. Mrs. Schmidt and her husband Ted owned and operated the bowling alley on Sixth St., in Neillsville a number of years ago. They moved to California upon retirement. Mr. Schmidt preceded his wife in death six years ago. Since that time, Mrs. Schmidt had been living in a convalescent home in San Pedro.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 23, from the Humphrey Funeral home in Lodi, Cal., and burial was made in the Lodi memorial Mausoleum. The Rev. Paul R. Donovan, Jr., of the First Congregational Church officiated.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Verna Cahill of Florida and Mrs. H. H. (Alice May) Fenske of East View, Cal. and several grandchildren.
