Campbell, Ida Louella (25 August
1886 - 2 October 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Louella Campbell,
86, of Humbird, who died October 2, at the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild,
were held Monday, October 4, at 2 p.m. from the Humbird United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Ralph Walker officiated and burial was made in the Mentor Cemetery. The
Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Campbell, the
daughter of David and Mary (Pierce) Fitzmaurice, was born August 25, 1886, in
the Humbird area, where she received her education. She did housework as a young
woman. Her marriage to James B. Campbell took place November 2, 1904, at
Humbird. The couple farmed and Mrs. Campbell also worked for the Humbird Canning
Company. After the death of her husband on May 20, 1948 she moved to the village
of Humbird. Mrs. Campbell, a member of the United Methodist Church, entered the
Sunset Home in August of 1968.
Survivors include three children, Mrs.
Bernard (Mildred) Haza of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Jinkerson of
Fairchild, and Vernon Campbell of Eau Claire; three brothers, Levi, Sam and Jake
Fitzmaurice, all of Humbird; and 13 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
