Pleasant Ridge

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Smith and daughter of Cochabamba,
Bolivia, and Mrs. Laddie Kuehn of Chippewa Falls visited Friday with Mrs.
Smith’s grandmother, Mrs. Ella Kuehn, at Memorial Home. They also visited and
had dinner at the George Kuehn home. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are missionaries to
Bolivia, home presently on a two- month leave.
Mrs. Betty Currin,
Chicago, Ill., arrived Saturday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Matousek. Mrs. Currin was accompanied by her aunt, Mrs. Karlovsky, of
Riverside, Ill., who visited at the home of her mother, Mrs. Evelyn Matousek, in
the Town of Levis. The two returned to their homes on Tuesday.
Miss
Shirley Magnuson, Minneapolis, Minn., spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs.
Ella Magnuson.
PV-2 Kenneth Vine, who spent a military leave at the home
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving vine, left last Wednesday by plane for a
based at Columbia, S. C. He was to leave from there Tuesday for overseas duty in
Germany.
Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis attended funeral services Tuesday
afternoon in Augusta for a Lewis family relative, Miss Clara Warner. Miss
Warner, 20, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Warner and granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Warner, both couples of rural Augusta, was critically injured
October 1 in an Eau Claire County traffic accident.
