Wright, Bessie

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie
Wright, 84, of Memorial Home, who died October 6, were held Saturday, October 9,
at 2 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of
the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the Windfall
Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright, the former Bessie Downer, was born November 28,
1886, in the Town of York, where she spent most of her lifetime. Her marriage to
Roy Wright took place February 27, 1913, at Granton. He died on November 25,
1959. Mrs. Wright had been a resident of Memorial Home for the last year and a
half.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers
were Arnold Trachte, Carl Sandberg, James Lee, Donald Dayton, Wayne Kuhl and
William Kuhl. “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Nearer My God to Thee” were
sung by Mrs. Roger Helm. Mrs. Lee Garbisch was the organist.
