Mrs. Ottelia Hoeft spent the weekend at
Scofield with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lucht. On
Saturday, Mrs. Hoeft and the Luchts attended an observance honoring the 60th
wedding anniversary of the ladies sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto
Monicke, at Tigerton.
Mrs. Margaret Goebel, who flew to Los Angeles, Ca.
to spend an eight-day vacation with her daughter and soon-in-law, returned home
Saturday. Mrs. Goebel made the trip on a 747 jet.
Guests Friday evening
at the Leland Bass home for a gathering in observance of Mr. Bass’s birthday
were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Tyler, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Guk, Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Hillert, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Breseman, Mrs. Bertha Hillert and Mrs. Otto Anding.
The Misses Daphne and Pearle Beeckler returned to their home Friday
after spending some time at Memorial Hospital and Memorial Home.
Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Hoeft attended the housewarming and were overnight guests Saturday at
the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Braatz, at Plover.
On Sunday, the Hoeft’s drove to Beaver Dam where they attended an observance
honoring the 45th wedding anniversary of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Gartzke, at the home of the Gartzke’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Gartzke. They also drove to Horicon marsh area to see the geese
there.
Guests last week at the Julius Rennak home were his brother,
August Rennak, of Glen View, Il., and Art Heinrich of Chicago. The two men
returned home on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Marshall of Kenosha spent
the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Garbisch and Mr. and Mrs.
LeRoy Marshall, Neillsville.
The Friendship Club is to meet Tuesday,
November 9, at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Otto Schmidtke.
Verona Hainz of
Milwaukee spent last Tuesday to Friday at the George Hales residence.
