Joyce Marie Zschernitz, 67, died
at the Aspirus Hospital, Wausau Jan. 15, 2014.
Joyce was born March 20,
1946, to John and Christine (Reshel) Steponik. She married Larry Zschernitz Dec.
19, 1966. They lived in Neillsville, and then moved to Wausau.
Joyce
enjoyed reading, embroidery, latch-hooking, nature and many trips to a variety
of unique shops. Her special pets were dogs and birds. Joyce loved her family,
enjoying time with them. Holidays were very special and happy days. She will be
lovingly remembered with memories to cherish. We love you, Joyce, forever.
Joyce is survived by her husband Larry; sister, Betty Heider, Hancock; her
brother, James (Barbara) Steponik, Junction City; brother-in-law, Ralph Smercek,
Greenwood; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tom (Carolyn) Zschernitz, Neillsville,
Gary (Margie) Zschernitz, Neillsville, Jayne (John) Perrine, Neillsville, Alan
(Karen) Zschernitz, Marshfield, Terry Zschernitz, Neillsville, Joel (Darlene)
Zschernitz, Neillsville, Melodie (Gary) Foster, Oklahoma City, OK; nieces and
nephews, Peggy Heider, William Heider, James Steponik, Sandy Lewens, Ralph John,
Jeffrey, Timothy and Jon Smercek, as well as numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by infant son Joshua and son Scott; her parents,
John and Christine Steponik; brother, John Steponik, and sister, Patricia Ann
Smercek; father- and mother-in-law, Louie and Genevieve Zschernitz; and
brother-in-law, William H. Heider.
There will be no visitation. A
memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
