Clintsman, Roxane (Marriage - 6 November 1971)
Miss Roxane Clintsman became the bride of David Rakestraw Saturday evening
November 6 in a double-ring ceremony performed at the Greenwood united Methodist
Church by the Rev. Eugene Antrim. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clintsman, Greenwood and
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rakestraw, Rt. 3, Neillsville, are the newlyweds’ parents.
For her marriage, the bride chose an empire-waist gown of embossed taffeta
fashioned with sheer, full sleeves. Her head was covered by a fingertip veil.
She carried a white bible with a purple orchid and small, white carnations on
streamers as she was given in marriage by her father.
Miss Sharon
Rakestraw, Berkeley, Il, a cousin of the groom, was the maid of honor. Miss
Patsy Rakestraw, the groom’s sister, was the bridesmaid. The attendants wore
identically-styled empire-waist gowns in shades of yellow and green,
respectively. They carried baskets of fall mums.
Bill Rakestraw, brother
of the groom, served a bestman. Groomsman was Robert Clintsman, Jr., Greenwood,
brother of the bride. Ushers were Dennis Clintsman and Steve Rakestraw.
Larry Sloniker, Greenwood, (balance of marriage was not on my copy).
