Bold, Vernal (16 September 1890 -
11 November 1971)
Vernal Bold, 81, of McClusky, N. D., died of a heart
attack at a hospital in Turtle Lake, N. D., on November 11. Mr. Bold was born
September 16, 1890. He was the husband of Mabel Severson of Greenwood, who died
January 9, 1968. They were married October 27, 1920, at Chasely, N. D., where
they lived for several years, then moved to McClusky, where he was a rural mail
carrier. After retirement he continued to live there.
He is survived by
six sons, Russell, Mt. Morris, Ill., Dallas, McClusky, N. D., Forrest,
Carrington, N. D., Kenneth, Los Angeles, Cal., Wendel, San Joe, Cal., and
Darrell, Towner N.D.; and three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Betty) Nies and Mrs.
Dean (Donella) Johnson of Bismarck, N.D., and Mrs. Lanny (Bonnie) Wilson of
Boulder, Col.; also 24 grandchildren.
After services in North Dakota the
body was brought to Greenwood where committal graveside services were scheduled
to be held at the Greenwood Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Eugene
Antrim, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church was to officiate.
