Hebert, Katherine (12 October 1898 - 27 November 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott (Katherine) Hebert, 73, of Chili, a
resident of Memorial Home who died November 27, were held November 30 at 10:30
a.m. from St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili. The Rev. Robert Houston
officiated and burial was made in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. A wake service held at
the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton Monday evening was followed by an Altar
Society rosary service.
Mrs. Hebert the former Katherine Bauer, was born
October 12, 1898, at Hewitt. Her marriage to Elliott Hebert took place November
26, 1919, at Loyal. They lived on a farm in the Town of Lynn for a time and
resided in Chili for the last 40 years. Mrs. Hebert was a member of St.
Stephen’s Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include
two daughters: Mrs. Grant (Arlene) Fisher of Spencer and Mrs. Hazel Jonas of
Chili; a son, Perry Hebert of Chili; and nine grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Chareton,
Green Bay, and a brother, Joseph Bauer, Cadott.
Pallbearers were E. C.
Haslow, Herbert Puscheck, George Schecklman, Oscar Bartsch, Burdette McNaul and
Phelps Spry.
