Two Madison young people were married at 4:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Dec. 26, 1965 in the First Congregational Church in Owen by the Rev. Robert Goessling.

They are Miss Janice M. Hawks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hawks, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who was given in marriage by her father to John M. Doroghazi, 5501 Lake Mendota Drive, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Doroghazi, 4027 Stearns Ave. Granite City, Ill.

Christmas music was played before the ceremony and Mrs. Peter Miller sang "O Holy Night" and "The Lord's Prayer." The church altar held white candles in candelabra and was adorned with red poinsettias. There was also a decorated Christmas tree.

The bride's Chantilly lace gown had a Sabrina neckline with sequin trimming on the lace fitted bodice and a circular peplum completing the skirt fashioned of tier after tier of ruffles of lace softly gathered, dipping into a full chapel train.

The bridal veil was secured to a flower blossom and the bride had a triangle shaped cluster of red Poinsettias falling into an elongated cascade of ivy and white stephanotis.

Attending the bride as her matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Roger Meier of Menomonee Falls. Her bridesmaid was a girl friend from Madison, Miss Tess Linsey. Loree Meier served as flower girl.

The bridal attendants were attired in long formals of red velvet made with boat necklines. They had triangle shaped clusters of white poinsettias trailing into a long cascade of ivy and white stephanotis.

Attending the groom as best man was Robert Smith, with the groomsman, Roger Meier. Ushers were Richard Miller and John Miller.

The wedding supper was served in the church parlors. The address of the newlyweds in Madison is 608 Emerson Ave.
