Glenzer, Ronald F. (10 JAN 1917 - 11 MAR 1965)
A Stanley motorist, Ronald Frederick Glenzer, 48, died at 4 a.m. today in
Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley as a result of injuries suffered in an
automobile accident about 3 miles east of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on Highway 29
early Sunday evening.
Officer Frank Sarafin, Thorp, who investigated,
said that a car driven by Julius D. Morgan, Thorp, was headed west , pulling
another car occupied by Edward M. Walczyk, also of Thorp. Something apparently
went wrong with the tow-bar which connected the two vehicles, and Morgan stopped
to make an inspection.
Glenzer's car was traveling west and struck the
side of the lead vehicle driven by Morgan, then sideswiped the second car before
crossing the road and nosing over into the south ditch.
Glenzer was taken
to the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley suffering from chest injuries.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church at
Stanley. The Rev. Robert W. Olson will officiated and burial will be made in the
Evergreen Cemetery at Stanley.
The body will repose at the Plombon
Funeral Home in Stanley from Thursday noon until Friday noon, and then at the
church.
