Putzel, John Frank #2 (10 December 1881 - 17 December 1971)
John
Frank Putzel, 90, of Greenwood died December 17, at his home. He had been in
failing health for several years.
Mr. Putzel, son of Tony and Lucee
(Champa) Putzel, was born December 10 1881, 8in Austr8ia. He came to the United
States in 1905 and settled in Helena, Mont. He was married there on January 29,
1908, to Fanny Boyce. They came to Greenwood February 26, 1914, and have resided
the last 57 ½ years on their farm a mile and a half west of Greenwood.
Mr. Putzel is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Earl (Bertha) Holt of
Greenwood, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Russ of East Helena, Mont., Mrs. Joseph (Freida)
Hoeser of Loyal and Mrs. Eugene (Lucee) Fanka of Fenton, Mo.; a son, L. Earle
Putzel of Fort Worth, Tx.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rigler of East Helena, Mt.; also
19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Greenwood. A grandson, the Rev. Jerome Hoeser of Wausau,
officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were:
Frank Artac, Walter Hribar, Ludwig Hribar, Ignatz Sladich, Charles Herrick and
George Fitzl.
